… which is the exact Bugatti Chiron Horsepower number. Funny, so. The Veyron successor obviously needed more strength, and the Chiron has almost 300bhp more than even the Veyron Super Sport. It’s a smidge quicker than the SuperVeyron, while a Chiron Super Sport is rumoured to be in the works against any competition to claim the ‘fastest in the world’ title.

Rimac Concept S – 1,384bhp

Meet the Rimac Concept-Underscore-One, the bigger, racier sibling. And from an all-electric drivetrain, it boasts some pretty impressive numbers: 0-62 mph takes 2.5 seconds, while 0-124 mph is achieved in 5.6secs. The electric car actually pipped the big Bug to 186 mph, getting there in just 13.1 seconds, where it takes half a second longer for the Chiron. The big number is the top speed: 227 mph.

Nio EP9 – 1,341bhp

Nio announced plans to develop 10 more EP9s in April, each for £1.4 m. Which means 16 overall, the first and initial six in its parent company going to early investors. Lap record holder at Americas Circuit and Nurburgring.

Dodge Demon – 840bhp

The fastest car in the world from zero to 60 mph (yes, quicker than the Chiron and any Tesla you ‘re interested in mentioning), the fastest ever production car over a quarter-mile, and the world’s first production car that can pop up a real wheelie if you get the right start. The number high is 840bhp.

Ferrari 812 Superfast – 789bhp

The successor to F12 gets 789bhp from its N / A V12, the most powerful nat-asp V12 ever built by Ferrari. For 2.9secs 0-62mph flashes and the peak, speed is ‘just 211mph.’

Lamborghini Aventador S – 740bhp

Facelifted Aventador gets a power boost of 40bhp-for 740bhp-and rear-wheel steering. Lambo explicitly uses the term ‘whopping’ when explaining the updates on its website. What a word Lambo.

McLaren 720S – 710bhp

It is the first time McLaren has scrapped one of her cars-the 650S-absolutely. It says 91 per cent of the 720S is fresh and 41 per cent fresh is the 4.0-litre turbo V8.

Bentley Continental GT Supersports – 700bhp

Bentley 700bhp? Blimey. Hi. Conti Supersports is nearly 2.3 tonnes, but in less than four seconds does 62 mph, in 7.4 and 209 mph 0-100 mph. Reduced to 710 wagons.
